Evaluation Some hands-on exercises utilizing the concepts presented are included, which provide the learner with an entertaining and engaging way to experience the material, going beyond simply reading it. These are not graded or required and there is no evaluation or performance assessment at the end of the lesson. The exercises are interwoven with the text and graphics and become an integral part of it. It would be possible to determine if the student had clicked on the suggested links to the hands-on activities, if this information were desired. It could also be required to visit all the links before progressing to the next page - the next section would be inaccessible until the prior one had been 100% explored. It would also be possible to include true/false or multiple choice questions, the responses to which could be recorded and graded. These types of questions emulate the Behaviorist stimulus-response model, which is appropriate for some kinds of material. Some of the content of this lesson is factual and could be easily assessed with this type of testing. |
