| The Oncology Portal |
I joined McKesson Specialty Health's Solutions for Oncology team to develop a series of eLearning courses for salespeople. Each course introduces one of the products and services available to their customers. These were delivered via an LMS with completion required, including an 80% score on a 10-question assessment. The Oncology Portal is a web site that brings together information and tools for oncologists in small group medical practices. |
| Legislative Overview |
I created a series of "Take Five for Health Reform" multimedia seminars for Blue Shield of California. These were emailed weekly to over 5,000 employees and consistently received great reviews – 98% of respondents felt the presentations were informative and valuable. This sample, "Legislative Overview" is the first in the series. |
Remove/Complete IV |
I was an Instructional Designer and eLearning Developer with Stanford Hospital & Clinics from 10/07–3/10. We trained thousands of health care professionals to use Epic - an electronic patient medical record system – during a phased, organization-wide implementation. Although most eLearning lessons were interactive and without sound, this task-specific "snippet" was part of Help resources and includes narration. Read my manager's recommendation (.doc) |
LeapFrog PaRTS |
At LeapFrog, I worked with a small team to transform instructor-led training into self-paced, web-based modules to train employees to use a digital art routing system. We interviewed subject matter experts, created prototypes, and incorporated feedback from end-users. We recorded our own voices during production, but utilized professional, in-house voice talent for the final versions. Read my manager's recommendation (.pdf) |

I wrote, recorded, and edited this script for a class project on Crimes Against Humanity. The audio was made using GarageBand; the interface was created in iMovie and modified in Dreamweaver.

A self-guided tour of selected instructional technologies with hands-on activities, designed for K-12 educators. Topics include Digital Storytelling, E-text, Importing Photos, using Inspiration and DraftBuilder (software) and Online Resources. Originally presented in a workshop format.
Understanding Color Theory (.htm)
An interactive learning module describing the color wheel, the complementary RGB and CMYK color systems, and the properties of color: hue, value and saturation. Incorporates hands-on, JAVA-based explorations.
The Aliens Have Landed (.htm)
"The aliens have landed and want to colonize the earth. It's your job to convince them that the earth's moon would be a much nicer place for them to settle."
I created and taught this 3rd-grade science lesson that requires Internet research to answer questions about the moon. It also addresses languge arts standards and technology skills in an engaging, social learning environment (working in pairs).
